Here Be Dragons uses found surveillance footage, focusing on desolate borders and boundaries where surveillance or webcamera technology has become the main source of imagery of the land. Footage is from scientific expeditions in Antarctica, military reconnaissance planes in Iraq and Afghanistan, and surveillance cameras in the desert along the U.S.-Mexico border.
